How you pay matters at an online casino. It affects how fast you can withdraw, and sometimes whether you can claim a bonus. Let’s run through the main options.
Debit cards are the most common. Visa and Mastercard debit are accepted almost everywhere, and withdrawals back to a card are often quick.
Credit cards aren’t allowed. Gambling with a credit card has been banned in the UK since April 2020… and that includes topping up an e-wallet with one.
E-wallets like PayPal are popular, because withdrawals are usually among the fastest. Just check the bonus terms. Some casinos exclude deposits made with Skrill or Neteller from their welcome offers.
You’ll also see Apple Pay and Google Pay, open banking or instant bank transfers, and pay by mobile, where the deposit goes on your phone bill. Pay by mobile usually has low daily limits, and you can’t withdraw to it.
One rule worth knowing: casinos normally pay withdrawals back to the method you deposited with. So pick something you’re happy to be paid into.
And whichever you use, you can set deposit limits in your account. Since October 2025, casinos have to prompt you to set one before your first deposit. 18+. Please gamble responsibly.
