Casino Deal Checklist: 7 Things to Check Before You Claim

A casino deal checklist helps you look past the headline of a welcome offer and see what you are actually signing up for. Two offers that both promise “100 free spins” can be worth very different amounts once you read the terms. Run through these seven checks before you claim any casino deal.

1. Casino deal checklist: is the casino licensed in the UK?

Only play at casinos licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. A UK licence means the operator must verify your age, offer safer gambling tools and follow UK rules on bonuses and fairness. The licence number is normally shown in the footer of the site.

2. What do you have to do to qualify?

Most offers need a minimum deposit and sometimes a minimum spend on specific games. Check the amount, whether certain payment methods are excluded (some offers exclude e-wallets) and whether you need to opt in or enter a code.

3. How much wagering does the casino deal need?

Wagering requirements tell you how many times you must play through bonus funds or winnings before you can withdraw. Since 19 January 2026, UK casinos cannot set wagering above 10x, but lower is still better, and no-wagering offers are best of all. casinocompare’s guide to wagering requirements shows how to work out what it really costs.

4. Which games count?

Free spins are usually locked to one slot, and bonus funds may only count on certain games. Check which games are included and what their RTP is, as a low-RTP game makes wagering more expensive.

5. Is there a max bet or a winnings cap?

Many bonuses limit your stake while the bonus is active, and some cap how much you can win from free spins. Breaking a stake limit can void the bonus, so note the figure before you start playing.

6. How long do you have?

Free spins and bonus funds expire. Some offers give you 24 hours to use free spins and a week or more to complete wagering. If the time limit is short, only claim the offer when you know you will have time to play.

7. Can you withdraw easily?

Check the withdrawal methods, any minimum withdrawal amount and how long payouts usually take. Verifying your account early, before you need to withdraw, avoids delays later.

Using the casino deal checklist

You do not need to memorise the full terms of every offer. Running through this casino deal checklist takes a couple of minutes and catches most of the terms that cause problems. If an offer fails more than one check, there is usually a better deal elsewhere.

Our casino reviews summarise these points for each casino, and how we review explains how we assess them. For definitions of the terms used above, see our glossary of betting and gambling terms.
